This a place I come often as I know the food is always good and the service is always impeccable. There is a seasonal menu with a nice selection to choose from. The food seems fresh and always tastes good. A little tip: As an aperitif, order a kir with wild strawberries ! View all feedback.
What Manuel Stutz doesn't like about Boccalino:
Pizza arrived cold at the table, while we were seating 5m from the oven. Asked my pizza to go back 2x. At least the service was good as the waiter recognized the terrible "service" and offered the pizza. View all feedback.
Pire service de ma vie, bouffe sans goût. Worst service I have ever received in my life. Tasteless food. Avoid his horrors.
We ate here for a family occasion and although the food was good, but expensive the staff and service was very bad. Our waiter was very helpless and slow. We had to ask for the drink menu after ten minutes of our arrival...for water during our meal and the worst of all he was most rude and not helpful about all gluten-free options for 4 members of the party. We know that the French would not have been appreciated for Coeliacs on the whole page, as it is a medical condition, but a courteous answer not only “there is nothing on the menu”. We also felt very fast, although the service was very slow and it was not busy.
My team went there for the last team dinner before Christmas and we decided to have 5 different pizzas.
At the end of a long day of travel, I crashed in my room on Saturday afternoon and missed joining the rest of our group for dinner. So when I got awoke at 7PM, I ventured out of the hotel and saw this place a...short distance from the hotel. Very friendly staff and they even had a separate menu in English (yea! ; I had a spaghetti bolognese that was just the right portion and was very flavorful. The prices were very reasonable. I returned another night with the group.
We ordered a vegetarian pizza and a truly amazing seafood pasta (carbonara, not with tomato sauce) and I’m pleased to say it was the best I’ve had! The location is at the end of old town Carouge. We enjoyed walking through town afterword and enjoyed...some gelato on the way.
