8 Oak Steakhouse - Genève

This is a great place for lunch. Many seats. Quiet. Good lunch menu selection.

Expensive and the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered a 250g entrecôte for 50CHF and got far less (150g at most). The waitress said it was because the meat shrinks when cooked...

The service was beyond bad. Very amateurish and inattentive. For the price paid you’d expect to have decent service. The vibe is ok but they are trying very hard to be “hype” and failing at it. The meat was delicious but the fries were clearly not freshly made. You are better off going elsewhere (such as Le Grill or Chez Philippe). You’ll get better service and better food for the same price.

Everything was perfect!! We were warmly greeted at the door. The staff were caring and thoughtful. The food was delicious…we ate everything…and we had so much fun we ended up staying there from the time it opened until a few minutes before closing. Will definitely go back again. Great place for celebrating an event like a birthday.

Nice decoration/ambiance, service is fine. Meat quality should be a notch higher for a steakhouse with such prices. Wines (good selection) are way overpriced (x4). Go for the show-off, not the meal.
