First time to eat here. The outside is very nice with most parking is in the back of the restaurant. Inside is rustic like at a ski lodge. The menu is a enough to make your mouth water. My brother had a Rib Eye. I had the Southwest Cobb salad with rib eye (10 oz) on the salad. The meat steak was cooked opposite of the way ordered. I'm more medium and my brother likes rare. I tried to enjoy a nice dinner with my wife, but it was a disappointing experience. We were seated, ordered two glasses of wine, and then our appetizer. After placing our entree order, we never saw our server again. We waited over 40 minutes without any service, while tables that were seated after us received their meals. Drove out from Glen Ellyn with another couple. Priced just below a high end steakhouse like Morton’s or Gibson’s, the food experience was almost comparable yet the waitstaff has a LONG way to go to complete the experience. Our server, when notmissing in action, was generally forgetful and inattentive. Dirty plates and empty drink ware stacked up on the table, disheswere delivered without the appropriate utensils, bread came an hour in just before our entrees, and we had to chase down ourserver after dessert to get the check (roughly 30 minutes from meal conclusion to finally getting the check…and without athank you). Did I mention I had to take my drink to the bar to get it garnished, as ordered? We tipped 20% anyway, if only notto penalize the other restaurant employees. Restaurant gets an 8.5 for food quality and presentation, and a 3 for service.
Server was very nice, but service was slow. They had open 4 top tables in the front, but the TWO hostesses refused to seat us there, even though we had reservation, saying they saved those 4 tops for larger parties (we had 2), so they seated us atanother 4 top in the noisy back. The tables up front remained empty all evening (our reservation was pretty late In evening). Had Filet Oscar, and it was overcooked, dry, no seasoning, and not worth $50. I would go to Morton’s or Wildfire for a betterfilet. The bacon wrapped dates were excellent. My date had the prime rib, and said it was great. Not crazy about the winelist. Atmosphere is legacy steak house, dark and a bit dated. They had a specialty Old Fashion and Whiskey Acres rye option,so nice drink option there. It’s expensive, steak house prices. And yes, you do not even get bread with meal, which ispretty standard at steak houses, but I am fine with that.

The server was very pleasant, but the service was quite slow. There were four open tables in the front, but the two hostesses refused to seat us there, despite our reservation. They claimed those tables were reserved for larger parties, while we had only two people. As a result, we were seated at another four-top in the noisy back, and the front tables remained empty all evening since our reservation was later in the night. I ordered the Filet Oscar, but it was overcooked, dry, lacking seasoning, and definitely not worth the $50 price tag. I would recommend going to Morton’s or Wildfire for a better filet. On the bright side, the bacon-wrapped dates were excellent, and my date enjoyed the prime rib, claiming it was great. I wasn't impressed with the wine list, and the atmosphere felt like a classic steakhouse—dark and slightly outdated. They did have a specialty Old Fashioned and an option for Whiskey Acres rye, which was a nice touch for drinks. Overall, the prices are steep, typical of a steakhouse, and I noticed that they don't even provide bread with the meal, which is usually standard at steakhouses; however, I'm okay with that.
Great restaurant with an upscale atmosphere and a lovely ambiance. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered a salad and the ribs, but I wasn't particularly fond of the sauce. However, the pomegranate martini was delightful, and the prime rib egg rolls were outstanding. One of my companions ordered a steak and declared it the best they’ve ever had.

Great service and food and we were excited about the live music aspect. Only ding was the music was pretty loud and they started around 8. However, the owner came by multiple times to ask if we were ok and they did say it was the first time the band was there so there was a bit of a learning curve. Overall great time and place, highly recommend! Kid-friendliness: For Friday dinner, could bring kids but probably not ideal given the prices and food options.

We've been coming here for well over 15 years and have NEVER had a bad meal the owner is fabulous and accommodating, the food is incredible and we love the vibe in here.
The food service and just the way the restaurant looked was awesome will definitely go back.
First time we were at this restaurant food was outstanding and service was extraordinary would recommend this restaurant to all we live an hour away and travel here in a minute for a meal
Had the baked goat cheese appetizer and the black and blue filet. Both were just incredible. Weight staff was very friendly and professional.
We are just going back to some of our favorite places after the lockdown. Foxfire did not disappoint. We brought my 88 year old dad with us for dinner and they accommodated his needs. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was very good and all special requests were taken care of. Great place for a steak.

The kitchen was running behind, so food took a bit longer. Still, quality service was provided. Once the food was delivered, it all tasted delicious! Personally more excited to enjoy a stunning non-alcoholic Stella Artois. Great food and friendly service on a busy Saturday night. Quality!
Excellent food! Bacon wrapped dates, Napa chicken and Ribeye steak. All absolutely delicious. Great service and a comfortable atmosphere. We had a wonderful date night! Highly recommend!
We waited for a special occasion to dine here, and we were not disappointed. Service was great. Don't order the crab cakes. Horrible. Salty, fishy, bread crumbs. Yuk. We both ordered steak and they were both good: rib eye and filet mignon. Our bill was less than $200. But. Our favorite is still St. Charles Place.
Great atmosphere! The place was apparently an old barn many years ago. I love the way they preserved the nostalgia of the building. The food was delicious and the Wiskey was smooth.
Very satisfied with our experience here. First, the service was good and you can tell all the staff are pros. Nick is such a sweetheart and truly loved what he was doing (and he said the owners treat him well which is always great to hear). The food was fantastic! Definitely a top steak house in our opinion. The filet was so incredibly tender, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, top 1 or 2 steaks I've ever had. The garlic mashed potatoes are so buttery and yummy! Drink menu had many great selections. We had the cherry amaretto cheesecake and it was a true, homemade from the heart, delicious cheesecake. Our new go-to steak house!

Chicken Marasala was very good and chicken so tender. The evening was awesome just wish they could of have a more experience live entertainer . I definitely could did for a couple more cocktails. Truly a very nice place with enthusiasm servers and hosts. I will definitely visit again.

The service was excellent. However, the food didn't quite meet my expectations given the price. They had a live band, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. The surf and turf was cooked well, but the portions were a bit on the small side. The cauliflower steak was tender and packed with flavor. Both the Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Vesuvio were just okay. I was disappointed with the Brussels sprouts; instead of being served whole or halved, they were flaked apart, which caused them to lose the expected crunch. On a positive note, the brownies à la mode and cheesecake were surprisingly delicious. Overall, it's a nice place to dine.
The food is delicious, although the mashed potatoes could use a bit more garlic and salt. The customer service is excellent, and I really enjoyed the ambiance.

Wonderful drink menu and it's extensive list, quite impressive! Food was amazing and to die for. My steak was a bit overcooked for my liking (I order Rare only) but overall taste and texture was on point. My friend ordered the pasta and he enjoyed it.
Great service! My wife’s gluten free and our waitress was very accommodating. Made my wife very happy which made me very happy. Food’s excellent. Highly recommended!
From the looks of the front of this restaurant you wouldn't know how amazing this steak house is. The wedge salad was very tasty; the pickled onions were surprisingly a good addition. The surf and turf was amazing. The filet was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The restaurant was very accommodating and hooked me up with some creamed spinach and shrimp cocktail even though they were not on the menu. The only thing that could be improved is the dinner rolls as they were hard. Maybe we got a bad batch that sat too long in the heating tray. We will definitely be back!!!
Definitely a good idea to make reservations! Place was packed when we left and we got the last reservation for that evening. Food was delicious! Service was great! Must have the bread!! Delicious!
The food here is delicious! We came here two years in a row for our anniversary dinner and each time we’ve had the best steaks. So tender and full of flavor! The service was quick and our server was very friendly and helpful. We can’t rave enough about this place!

Had dinner with a big group last night. the restaurant is beautiful. I had a few appetizers. the only one who stood out was the calamari.
Went to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We all had a great time and were especially touched by the acknowledgment of his special day. The card signed by the staff was an unexpected gesture. We will continue to come back
My friend chose this restaurant for a date night for us. we called a day of reservation and came around 19 clock. the host is in the middle.
Overall, our experience was good, but not exceptional. We were seated next to the kitchen, which made for a somewhat hectic atmosphere. My steak was cooked well and quite tasty, but my wife's salmon appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. We ordered the jumbo shrimp with a shot of Don Julio, and that was enjoyable. While the meal was decent, the value for the money decreased, especially considering one dish was dry. We typically don't complain or send food back unless it's seriously problematic, but given the prices, we feel that more care should be taken before a dish is served. We're not sure if we would return, but if things feel a bit more normal post-COVID, we might consider giving it another try.
