Very rude service and we felt we were inconveniencing the waiter by ordering a coffee! If they don't need our money we will go elsewhere !
I have been to the Krone many times over the years and its always a great and very reasonably priced place to eat.The Interior is all carved wood paneling and there are 5 large tables, so you may be seated next to another party. The menu is simple offering salads and soups for starters and a selection of traditional Swiss main courses. The food is always excellent with the options ranging from Cordon Bleu with fries to lamb chops with rösti (two of my favorite dishes to eat here). Desserts are simply a selection of ice cream. There are usually seasonal specialities on offer. The kitchen is usually open until about 22.00 and at lunch time a 2 course menu is served. Closed on saturdays. It's a cash only establishment. It's an Inn so rooms are available on request.
The restaurant krone does not look inviting. the gastronomy needs occasional refreshment and brighter lighting. the portions, on the other hand, may satisfy the hunger for a winter walk around the puppies. The cheese cut with ham, two mirror eggs and a disc pineapple at favorable chf 15.- also the Thon-Zwiebel salad finds its customers. lovers are satisfied with a portion speck at the piece. the host pair serves the guests personally.
