When we wer... read more We stayed at the Bevanda for the first time in the summer of 2023 based on a recommendation. Reservation the day before for 7 people was no problem. When we were there at midday on a Friday, we noticed that it would not have been necessary to reserve. There were only 2 tables occupied. The waiter took his time, he was busy training a new employee, probably an apprentice because of his age. We were then able to place our drink orders after waiting a while. Unfortunately we didn't get what we ordered. My aperitif was clearly alcohol free, which of course shouldn't happen with a high priced, house promoted aperitif...but it was like that. We ordered two pizzas which were very good. Thin base from the oven, fresh ingredients on it, not too thick topping. The fish dishes were unfortunately a disappointment. The Branzino was an absolute joke for almost 30 euros. We had ordered it twice and both pieces were veeery cooked and really funny small. The fritti misti were ok but the sauces were a shame the pesto extremely salty, the mayo ok and the chilli sauce was out of the tube : Again I expect fresh homemade sauces if they are advertised as extra to the platter... I got the wine list after asking twice, unfortunately again no waiter in sight who would like to take my order... the restaurant already had 4 tables occupied by us, so the waiter was probably already too full ; When we finished eating, the waiter asked if I would like some wine, which I declined. I lost interest after we watched the window cleaner at 2:00 p.m., who had just started to clean the large glass front right in front of us. In a restaurant of this category and price range, I expect something completely different and can in no way understand why the restaurant is so highly praised. There are far better places to be found in the NK district, even more recommendable places in Gloggnitz. In my opinion, there is a lot of room for improvement here, certainly more than currently downwards ;
