We popped in at lunchtime yesterday.From being greeted at the door to paying out bill we were treated in a friendly and courteous manner.We ordered a share platter with a side of wedges, cocktails and soft drinks and all of the food and drink items met or exceeded our expectations!The passion cocktail is particularly delicious and .I would thoroughly recommend that fellow passion fruit lovers at least sample this fru... Been there quite a few times, an excellent spot for this type of restaurant. The staff are always pleasant and happy to help, however, sometimes service is slow because of lack of staff. Food is yummy, but I've gone to the point where I stick with one main dish. This is because a few dishes tended to change each time I got it, whether what was in it or how it tasted. We were excited to have lunch at The Groove Train, as we had a great time at Chirnside Park. However, we were extremely disappointed. We ordered a focaccia, eggplant chips, and creamy chicken spaghetti. The focaccia was stale and we couldn't eat it. The eggplant chips were burnt, and the spaghetti, although tasty, was drowning in cream. When the waitress asked us how everything was, we were honest. She did not apologize. We paid our bill and left. We have no intention of returning. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our experience was terrible.
We waited 2 hrs on New Years Eve for Pizza....sparse toppings and under cooked. Disastrous. Alot of unhappy customers.
What a disappointment this venue is. The second time visiting a place that generally serves good food and the service, in the last month we were treated with confused staff as to where to seat patrons and then when we placed the order for food the starters plate that we ordered arrived after the main meal. This has now happened twice in a row the first time we brushed it off to new Managment taking over but when it happens the second time I call it poor staff training and disorganised management. The second issue, the meal took 70min to arrive after being told at 30 minutes our meal would shortly arrive but we stupidly waited. I went to this Groove Train with my family for New Years Eve and the experience was far less than average. We waited around 15 minutes to get our drinks which came with no ice and we were not offered any water. We then waited another 20 minutes for our entrees of wedges which came out burnt and with no sweet chilli sauce. We then waited another 20 minutes for our mains which were only warm and some didn’t have all the advertised menu ingredients. It is fair to say that we will not be coming back and I do not recommend anyone looking for a decent experience. I urge the management of the restaurant to really consider their service standards and pricing.
Wasn’t the best dining experience. Table service was pretty average even though the owner was walking around watching the staff like a hawk. Won’t be back
