Old Spot - Gedling
Old Spot
Description
Once a charming pub, this establishment has undergone a transformation that has not pleased all its patrons. While some celebrate its quaint atmosphere and friendly staff, many lament the decline in menu quality and service efficiency. Complaints about unenthusiastic service and lengthy waits for food echo throughout, with some diners experiencing significant delays even during quieter times. Accessibility issues and cramped parking add to the frustration. However, a few have found value in their meals and relished the pleasant outdoor views. Given the variety of nearby options, potential diners might explore alternatives for a more satisfying experience.

Even though the decor is a bit old-fashioned, there is a charming atmosphere to the restaurant. The service is excellent, and the location offers lovely views of the beer garden. Children can play on the equipment provided. Our family had a great meal here and we love to visit whenever we are in Nottingham.
I've been doing this for 4 times, as I'm in business here and I have to say I don't have a negative word to say. beautiful, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. clean environment. I don't care what's waiting for the food, because then I know it's cooked and the meals are delicious.
This restaurant was once a charming, quaint old pub. However, it has now transformed into a pretentious and absurdly focused on service establishment. Who wants to be constantly bothered by unenthusiastic staff members throughout their meal? The accessibility for disabled individuals is poor, and the parking lot is quite cramped. I recommend looking for another pub nearby, as there are plenty of local options that offer a more satisfying dining experience.
