We were greeted within a minute of arrival. The host was pleasant, the dining room was clean and a marvelous observation of what was expected overwhelmed me. I knew I was in for a pleasant experience. The waiter was pleasant and familiar with the food and wine. We had good food and good service. I do recommend this establishment. View all feedback.
What Dawn Higdon doesn't like about Mama Leone's Italian:
We had ordered a variety of items to try them out. 1) garlic cheese bread was good 8/10 … 2) meatball appetizer was ok lacked flavor other than sauce 7/10…..3) fried mushrooms 5/10 …. 4) pizza was good loaded with toppings had a spiciness that some did not like but I gave it a 10/10…… 5) pasta combination he did not like at all 1/10…. Kids chicken tenders and fries 4/10. They tasted more like fish. View all feedback.
Excellent lasagna, and you MUST try the chocolate lasagna dessert. Large, tasty, and reasonably priced.
Just driving through Gaylord, love Italian food so thought we'd stop in. The lobster pizza was delicious ?. Atmosphere was ok but not romantic. We'd give it another try.
Good and service was top notch. Atmosphere was a bit rowdy due to some snowmobilers. Not the restaurants fault though. Will definitely come back again and bring friends. Try the seafood! Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: A few gluten free options. Parking: Very large parking. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options kids will enjoy.
I have to say one star because hubby said his broasted chicken was good (just good, not great). I ordered the lasagna, it was the worst lasagna I ever tasted. I returned it after just one bite. Hubby tried it too and said it was bad too. I ordered the chicken strips instead. They weren't good either. It tastes like fishken. Like it was fried in the same oil the fish was fried in. Never going back there. Service was great and waiter was great. Food wasn't his fault.
Best food in Gaylord it's like Mom's home cooking and I'm a traveling tree ape so I know where the best places to eat in northern Michigan are at and this is one of those places. Never disappointed always delicious. Cannolis are out of this world
