Incredible service and fantastic food. I dined in for dinner, and the experience was worth over $100 per person. Both the food and service received a perfect score of 5, and the atmosphere was equally enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the Mushroom Swiss! View all feedback.
What Jonathan Peerboom doesn't like about Dreamland:
The restaurant is quite outdated and in poor condition. I ordered a steak dinner for $24, and what I received was a small, overcooked piece of meat that was excessively salty. The vegetables that came with it appeared to be frozen, then microwaved, as the waitress confirmed—partially cold and partially hot, which made for an unappealing presentation. The wife and I were researching a good place to get a streak here in the Keweenaw and we came across Dreamland. We went there and really liked the atmosphere. We were immediately created and told we could sit anywhere. The waitress was right there with water and asking if we had a drink order. She was only gone a few minutes and returned with our drinks. She took our dinner order and returned in 15-20 minutes with our food. The rest of the meal was spot on but the steaks left something to be desired. We ordered rare and medium rare but got more like medium and well done. Steaks were tough and too much seasoning. For a $25.00 dinner this was pretty disappointing. If Dreamland is going to offer steaks, they need a better cut of meat and teach the cook the different temperatures. Dreamland may be a good place for burgers and pizza but I cannot recommend the steaks.
I had the Swiss onion soup and the Rabbit beer, and both were fantastic. The soup was excellent, and our server—whose name I unfortunately can't recall—was very attentive and provided great service.

Perhaps the place has received good ratings because there aren’t many dining options in the area. Coming from the Grand Rapids region, where there are numerous excellent restaurants, I found this experience to be quite disappointing.
The Bro Ailes white fish was excellent! We opted for takeout but were still able to sit inside. The price was $15.96, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant.
