With so many great, locally owned restaurants in keweenaw, it is almost impossible to find a bad one. unfortunately kaleva cafe was a bad one. When we came in, I had a bad feeling. we sat about 20 minutes before the confirmation. I don't mind waiting for good food, but being ignored is annoying. the person who sat us was rude and she felt like she didn't want to work. Next...more waiting. each time, between the order of first drinks, in the position, our food order, wait for food and finally, in the position to get our review were all long. when our server brought our food out, she spun us and never came back. I had to run up the register to get my reception. also the barked one I ordered was not pleasant. it was mostly sweet with some small pieces of meat blown in. served in the middle cold. I'm sorry, I'm not going to be back and if they're on the zaun over this place, they can consider another option in the opposite.
Had a short wait. then sit and served super fast! eating was really good! the server were not outstanding personalities and manage. the restaurant itself was a bit dirty. they were disappointed for the day from the special pancakes. I would eat there again. the older guy there had the best smile on his face!
Great place to get a quick bite. the prices are very good. one of the best local diners.
Server very rude, didn't come back after we got our food. Toast was burned. Might go back again, but I doubt it.
It was nice dining there the lady who awaited on us is very friendly we love it there!!!
