Loved it! This was our last adventure during our week long visit to Gatlinburg. Even though we got caught in some light rain, this was definitely a great way to end our family vacation. View all feedback.
This place was beautiful. I can 't wait to return! My kids loved it. They did great on the chair lift. It felt a little like a Hallmark movie which I loved it. We ate at the Clifftop restaurant. Onion rings were great. The other food ordered was ok. Nothing out of this world, but good. We did get to see a bear on the way up!A recommendation is there needs to be a dedicated spot for nursing mom 's or Mom 's that need to pump. It needs to be in a climate controlled location.
At first I thought it was kind of expensive, but after the walk through it was totally worth it. We did the night lights and they were amazing. There are your standard gift shops and there are places to eat, both sit down and grab and go. There is also an array of adult beverages to be had. The views up here though are stunning. Also, we did the night light walk and it was awesome.
This was our first time at Anakeesta and wow was it worth it. The chairlift was a little scary given how high up you are but it gave an amazing view. At the top there was a lot to do and see. The Mountain Coaster and Skywalk were our favorites. Although the Illumina was cool too. Food was also delicious! My suggestion... go in the evening and stay after dark so you get the best of both worlds.
If you get there first thing in the morning parking, getting tickets, and waiting to ride up isn 't that bad and not a long wait. The downside of getting up there early is that the mountain ride and some shops don 't open until 10am and food doesn 't open until 11am.Mountain ride was fun, the bridges in the trees were fun, just a great place to walk around. I really enjoyed the rocking chairs that overlooked the mountains. It was so relaxing to sit there and admire the view.I don 't understand how this is classified as a theme park as there are rides and things you can do but you have to pay for them additionally on top of the general admission fee.
Fun place with a lot to see and do. The views are spectacular. Rope bridges are cool but very busy. A lot at least a half hour to 45 min each way to get up and down the mountain on the chair lift. It is a bit pricey with parking being $25 on top of tickets for entry plus extra add ons but the views are worth it for the base price and parking, we even saw a black bear under us on the chair lift!
