Small restaurant and bar in a historic building with brick walls and some original works of art from the area. The staff was very helpful, the bar made a great old fashion and the food was also good View all feedback.
What Melissa L doesn't like about The Knife And Cork:
Yes, there was a group if 8 but the drink service was way too slow. The jager schnitzel that I was SO excited about was too salty, over cooked and didn't have enough sauce. The Brussels sprouts were cooked enough either. The appetizers were amazing as always. I was extremely disappointed compared to the previous chef. View all feedback.
Wife and I were out and about and found this perfect little gem in Gatesville, TX! The Knife and Cork are right off of the main square downtown, its got that old timey feel, with a up to date and modern interior design. The staff was welcoming and very pleasant. They took care of us promptly and answered all of our questions about both the restaurant and menu. We had a flat bread California pizza appetizer, it was delicious! I ordered the Just Trust Me... great sandwich with lots of meat and an interesting twist of a slice of apple in the sandwich...real tasty just trust me ! The wife ordered a stuffed avocado with chicken salad and that was the bomb, will attempt to try and make that for her at home it was so good! Do not pass this place by it would be a mistake, I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. @Guy Fieri dude i can see this place in DDD!
EVERYTHING was delicious!! Yhe Reuben egg rolls are a must! The fish and chips were fantastic fish was crispy and flaky. The tartar sauce was homemade. I really enjoyed it, and I'm pretty picky about tartar sauce. All fresh food. And to boot, the staff was soooo friendly. The owner personally came to the table to provide information on the menu. Top notch! This is truly amazing food, the type you'd find in a big city. Gatesville is lucky to have this gem!
Not all heroes wear capes. We know this. Sometimes the wear all black, and great you with a smile. This is just the amazing staff that works here at Knife and Cork. They have a rotating seasonal craft beer selection, and a menu that screams midwestern comfort food, with a splash of Texan flare. I guess you should expect that, when the owner was born in New York, and then lived in the America's High five State for a while. As a Michigander, this place feels like home. I mean, who else can serve mac and cheese in Texas, in August, and get away with it? However, let's move to the main event, the reason I need to leave this review... it's all about these 3 words... Chicken. Fried. Ribeye. Yes friends, you read that correctly... it was worth the price. It's worth the everything. If you want to find your new home away from home. A new place for a damn good meal, look no further that Knife and Cork. Next time I'm here, i will be back. Keep my bar stool empty.

Great place, big cook and food. The chicken pecan was amazing. It's a small restaurant and a bar. There are TVs in the bar and you will have a good look at at at at least one of them. I meet the owner and wait for our table and she spoke and asked each of her customers how was their experience. The prices are decent and I was told that they will be opened to brunch on Sunday at 10:00.
