When I asked why my steak was very thin, she told me that when steak is cooked 'well done', it shrinks. I have never before been served a well-done rump steak that resembled thin frying steak. She then begrudgingly offered to prepare the meal again or refund the meal. We opted for the refund as by this time my husband had finished his meal.

As a local resident, I have been a semi-regular customer and have previously enjoyed the food and found it to be good value for money. However, on my most recent visits, the food took over an hour to arrive. While I don't mind waiting when with family, a heads-up about kitchen delays would have been appreciated. It seemed like tables around us, who ordered after us, received their food before us. I ordered the cajun chicken kebab from the specials board, priced at £15.95. Unfortunately, the dish was overcooked to the point of being inedible. When I raised this issue with the waitress, the chef insisted that it was cooked correctly, which was not the case. Eventually, I was offered an alternative dish, the steak and ale pie, which was delicious. However, it was served with fries instead of chips, indicating a lack of attention to detail. Overall, while the other dishes were enjoyable, the experience with the kebabs left a sour taste. I hope the restaurant can improve their service and ensure consistency in their dishes in the future.

Supposed to be home made chips and they were rock hard, I couldn’t even snap one in half. I told the waitress and she apologised and took them back. Other customers heard me and they were saying they are awful too so there went back. Waitress can’t back and said it’s the season of potatoes so would I like fries, I said ok. Brought out my same fish heated back up) with my frozen chips!! Husband got mixed grill tough as bulls lugs too and that was medium rare bad experience never again needs a refurbished too as carpets stinks of foist. NOT GOOD
