We ran across The Central walking from the Gateshead Metro station to cross the Tyne on the Millenium Bridge what a find! Great beer selection and the proprietor was just a joy to chat with. He showed us the many rooms available at The Central all very classic Brit pub rooms. We enjoyed half pints, sat out on the rooftop terrace. No trains came by, but that would be a fun spot to watch them.

Popped in here for a drink on a Monday evening. Very pleasant place for a drink. A good range of products available. Prices are very reasonable for the area much cheaper than the adjacent hotel!! Friendly and welcoming. Comfortable seating as well

Had a great time at this restaurant. It was a bit cozy, but that added to the atmosphere. The vibes were fantastic and the prices were reasonable. I didn't get a chance to try their food, but I would definitely recommend this place.
