Paprika is a hidden gem of a Bangladeshi restaurant with excellent food, friendly staff, and great value. The menu offers a good selection of well-known favorites to suit most palates without being overwhelming. The service is top-notch, and the owners really take the time to get to know their customers. Whether dining in or getting a takeaway, Paprika consistently delivers a fantastic meal that is fresh, tasty, and enjoyable. It's no wonder that loyal customers keep returning to this family-run establishment for a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable meal in the Lowfell area.

I have now been to this small restaurant many times whilst visiting the area in Gateshead. The food is absolutely fantastic with generous portions and very reasonable prices. The decor of the restaurant is a little dated but clean and the service very good and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.
I very much like this place, although I only ever get take out. Good food and generous portions. Would be 5 stars but for it being a bit pricy.
Paprika is opposite where the old Springfield Hotel used to be (soon to be a new care home) and is easy to miss. But I beg you not to miss Paprika. Forget about those nearby restaurants living off past glories, Paprika is NOW. It is clean, it cares, it's damn good. We had the banquet for 2 with starters of onion baji and chicken tikka kebab, followed by bhuna and tikka masala with rice, poppadums, naan. Flavoursome, REAL chicken- not preformed pieces that some others use and it was all wonderful at a good price. Desserts were sorbets, ice cream and those syrupy sponges. We went for a sorbet, which was light and refreshing and coconut ice cream which was very coconuttty! A bottle of wine comes in at around £12 which is none too bad for restaurant prices; carafes were also available more cheaply. Service was excellent:attentive and polite without being overly formal. A fabulous, well hidden little gem!
This is one of the best family-owned restaurants I have been to. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. If you are in the Lowfell area and have not yet tried it out, you definitely should - they deserve all the praise.
