Description

Acorn Deli, formerly known as Coffee Quarter, has seen a shift in its atmosphere, leading to mixed reviews from loyal patrons. While some appreciate the variety in the menu and the friendly service, others highlight cleanliness issues and reduced food options. The introduction of dogs in the dining area has caused discomfort for some visitors, detracting from the previously serene ambiance. Despite these concerns, many enjoy the warm scones and flavorful paninis, alongside a cozy environment perfect for relaxation. Overall, Acorn Deli presents a blend of charm and challenges, warranting a thoughtful visit.

The restaurant's name has changed to Acorn Deli. My granddaughter and I had been shopping at TVTE, so we decided to have lunch here. The menu was excellent. We both enjoyed our coffees and sandwiches. I will definitely return. I wasn't impressed the last time when it was Coffee Quarter, but now it is very nice. The staff is polite and helpful.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way North and it was easy to find, located on the corner of Kingsway North. The staff were friendly and there was a wide selection of food available ranging from sandwiches to jacket potatoes to full English breakfasts. They also had a good variety of vegetarian options. It was a pleasant break from the bad weather. My bacon, Brie, and cranberry panini was filled to the brim and absolutely delicious. I opted out of the salad garnish. My husband also enjoyed his bacon sandwich, which was topped with a poached egg as they don't do fried eggs. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last.

I have been a loyal customer at this restaurant for many years, but I am disappointed with the new management's decision to allow dogs inside the establishment. This policy is not to my liking, and unfortunately, I will not be returning as a result. During my recent visit on Wednesday, I encountered other customers bringing their dogs, causing disruptions with constant barking and lack of calmness. It made it difficult for me to concentrate on my work using my laptop. I kindly request that the restaurant prohibits dogs from entering in the future.

Eat here. Get drinks here. It’s not Coffee Quarter any more. This is a lovely place. Nice mix of estate workers and families/singletons. Friendly, smart vibe. Fresh healthy food. Great range but not pretentious. Good veggie options. Irn Bru. Lollies for kids. Good value too....Clean loos.
