Came here tonight, was pleasantly surprised. Fish and chips were fried fresh to order and staff were hesitant to give us the chips until they were properly drained from the fryer. Give this place a chance, if we don't use local stores we will lose them all together! View all feedback.

App says open so I order at 6pm, 7:30pm comes I think what the hell no food yet so try ring the shop NINE TIMES NO ANSWER! To have to bike all the way down there for them not to be open and paid by card so now have to wait 5-7 days absolute joke!
Although the reviews on TripAdvisor aren't great, reviews elsewhere were really good so we thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately, we can't recommend The Chip Stop. The chips looked as though they'd been sitting for some time and were very soggy and greasy. As for the fish, the flesh was OK but the batter had my pet hate a layer of mushy fat under it. Safe to say, we won't be going back.
