Nestled on the main road, The Bridle Path pub offers a vibrant atmosphere with an inviting lounge and expansive bar area, complemented by a pool table, darts, and multiple TVs. Guests praise the friendly staff, particularly for their attentive service, while the outdoor beer garden is a highlight. However, opinions on the food vary; while some diners rave about delicious meals and generous portions, others report disappointing experiences with undercooked items, particularly at breakfast. Despite mixed reviews on the food quality, the pub remains a popular local spot for drinks and social gatherings, promising a lively ambiance on weekends.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the food. We all ordered the all-day breakfast and none of us could finish even a third of our plates. The bacon and sausages were undercooked, the eggs were greasy, and the beans were dry and mushy. The only things we could eat were the hash browns and toast. It seemed like the chef might have been having a bad day. Despite the nice bar staff, we won't be returning to this restaurant for food in the future.

During our visit to Whickham, we decided to stop for lunch at The Bridle Path. The restaurant caught our eye with its clean exterior and bustling atmosphere, indicating a popular spot. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff, especially Zoe, who took the time to discuss vegetarian options and clarify details with the kitchen. Despite being busy, Zoe provided exceptional service and we were impressed with her attentiveness. We will definitely return to The Bridle Path in the future.

Fantastic bar! I had a wonderful evening thanks to Lisa, who did an excellent job organizing an event here. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely return, especially because the food looked delicious.
