The hotel staff and bar staff were polite and efficient. The rooms were spotless and they were willing to help with anything. Thank you for a great experience.

Several of us stopped here for a 3 course meal half way through a long journey, starters were nice, carvery was disappointing, mash was hard lumpy, stuffing was... read more Several of us stopped here for a 3 course meal half way through a long journey, starters were nice, carvery was disappointing, mash was hard lumpy, stuffing was inedible so we all had room for desserts as half our dinners were uneaten, sticky toffee and choc fudge cake were far too firm so 3 of us cancelled our orders instantly. Waitress staff were great, cannot fault them but the food was a big let down. Wouldn’t return.

The choices for lager drinks were l... read more My wife and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant. It was not very crowded, probably because it was midweek and midday. The choices for lager drinks were limited and strange, with only Carling or Staropramen available. The food ordering process, service, and quality were all good. The chef even came to our table to ask if everything was okay. One funny aspect of the restaurant was a bell that rang loudly to alert staff when food was ready in the kitchen, reminiscent of something from Fawlty Towers or The Munsters. Despite this quirk, the quality of the food was good, which is the most important aspect of a restaurant in the end.
