I sent it... read more My husband and I came here for the first time. What a disappointment, I ordered the stuffed chicken, I bit into it and had to spit it out, it was off. I sent it back and was told it was fresh, which was impossible it was literally inedible and stunk. I then went for the carvery, the food looked like it had been sat there for hours. We ended up paying and leaving eating very little. Very disappointed.

I was reassured it woul... read more The room was right next to the kitchen vent and was soo loud it litterly shook the room. Asked to move rooms but they were fully booked. I was reassured it would be quiet after 8.45 when last dinners are served however 1am and the fans are still on. Went to complain and was told they were cooking next days meat. We decided to pack up and go home. Next day we recieved a call giving our money back for the room. Personally I think we should have been given the money back for the meal as well for the inconvenience of travelling home at 1am. He said, should we book again (not likely) to ask for rooms 20-27, they're quieter, so I assume 20 rooms in this hotel are noisy. Also would like to point out the rooms are shabby, our radiator did not work even after he came to bleed it. Apparently i caused a leaking downstairs when I had a shower. I was only in it 5 minutes. And the menu was very uninspiring.

Holly who normally serves us has the most amazing customer service she is always so friendly and helpful. Nothing is a bother. I am in retail management and love to give feedback on great service. The hotel staff and bar staff were... read more I had another fantastic stay at Angel View. This was my fourth time staying here and I can honestly say I have no complaints. The hotel staff and bar staff were polite and efficient. The rooms were spotless and they were willing to help with anything. Thank you for a great experience.

Several of us stopped here for a 3 course meal half way through a long journey, starters were nice, carvery was disappointing, mash was hard lumpy, stuffing was... read more Several of us stopped here for a 3 course meal half way through a long journey, starters were nice, carvery was disappointing, mash was hard lumpy, stuffing was inedible so we all had room for desserts as half our dinners were uneaten, sticky toffee and choc fudge cake were far too firm so 3 of us cancelled our orders instantly. Waitress staff were great, cannot fault them but the food was a big let down. Wouldn’t return.
