Jia Asian Fusion Sushi - Gastonia

Nice to find a place with good quality food and a mix of sushi and fusion selections. This was our first time here, our rating might have been higher depending on the server we had. Will update rating once we go back. My wife had a sushi platter, I had the orange peel chicken (which was made with real chunks of chicken breast) and everything was great. Calamari appetizer was fantastic, wish there was more, but that is always the case with calamari. Kid-friendliness: Good options on the kids meals.

My go-to spot on the weekends, they have a large variety and great seafood/sushi. Definitely recommend the ramen with chili oil, and sashimi appetizer!

I have dined here several times, and the food is usually always good. Tonight I ordered a soup and the pork in the soup tasted like it was bad. I called the waiter over and advised him of this, and asked could he take it, and let me see the menu so I could order something else. He stated okay. He came back abt 3 minutes later and stated that his manager said they would not take it off, and I had to keep it because they knew the pork was fresh! This is the WORSE thing you can say to a paying customer. They literally have rat traps outside the restaurant. Why would you NOT let a customer order another dish because the dish they ordered was NOT up to standard? NOT a good practice to have…

Service is always on point! The spice level the last couple of times I’ve ordered has almost made it inedible and we like spice! When I dined in, there was no issue. Seems to be to go orders.
