Walking Crab - Garner
Walking Crab
Description
An eclectic seafood spot earns both praise and complaints: when it hits, crab, fried catfish, shrimp and flavorful spices—especially garlic-butter preparations—delight patrons; when it misses, plates arrive overcooked, sparse, or missing items. Reviewers cite occasional rude or frazzled front-of-house behavior, inconsistent portion sizes, and rising prices, yet staff members have also been praised for excellent service. With a food-truck presence (notably at Gizmo Brewery in Raleigh) and robust takeout options, this casual, flavor-forward operation is best for adventurous seafood lovers who tolerate occasional variability.

I told the staff that if the food was good, I would definitely come back... I need to get another shrimp po' boy!
The food was fantastic! Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience. My stomach couldn't have been happier!
April 15 2022 at 615pm. I ordered two plates. A pick 3 with scallops shrimp and flounder. And just a pick 2 flounder and shrimp. Now it was hot so no complaints there. I wanted cocktail and non of that. But to the food. Fish shrimp and scallops had no flavor at all. Taste like they battered in with no seasoning. Mac and cheese not good no flavor again. I ate some but the rest is going to my KING OUTSIDE
I got the garlic bug tray probably the best i’ve ever had tasted just like home need more restaurants like this!
The food is good. I only had an issue one time far as not satisfied with my order. I went to make an order online today and noticed tge prices went up. The specials are not truly specials. The mini pan use to be 20 but now they are 30. Its good if you want to eat out and want something different than the crab house.
