1130, busiest brunch time possible in a Sunday and Hubbard 's kept it smooth. While we did have a bit of a wait, our harried server did not disappoint. (We had to ask if the servers were related, they aren 't, just three long haired brunettes who get that a lot. )The meals are all large portions, almost all under $10, all come fresh and hot from the kitchen and all epitomise down home cooking.Coffee was a little disappointing, but they fill it constantly. Yay!Two drinks, two lunches, $27. $37 with tip.

Long time resident of Garland and have been here numerous times in the past. First time here in a couple of years. First off, I have to say the service was terrible compared to what this place used to be like. I understand that places are having a hard time hiring but cmon, man. This place has always been known for their outstanding service. The Rowlett location has them swarming over you and your coffee never gets cold. This morning, there were 4 tables and 2 servers. I only got 1 coffee refill and that was after my food came and she saw it was empty. Oversized biscuit was hard and dry as if it was at least a day old. Gravy was very thin and tasted like it came from a package. I hope they can get back to what made them popular in the first place.

Great place for breakfast. Good food and a great value. Service is always great.
Really disappointed this morning. Bacon tasted like it had been sitting in a grease pool, potatoes had no flavor and biscuit was hard. It was pretty bad, however their tamales are great.
Food was pretty good portions, but was somewhat bland. Although the waiter filled my friends coffee a couple additional times after he asked another waitress for more. My glass set empty for the entire second half of our visit, without being asked once if I wanted a refill or anything else to drink.
