On a Friday evening around 6:30 PM, the restaurant was about half full. We were seated promptly, and the service was impressively quick, with our server being very friendly. We shared three dishes: ceviche de pescado, papa a la Huancaina, and Lomito Saltado. Having lived in Peru for eight years, I have a deep appreciation for Peruvian cuisine. My only minor complaint is that the restaurant was quite chilly, causing our hot dishes to cool down too quickly—Lomito Saltado is best enjoyed hot. Additionally, the hot sauce offered was Mexican instead of Peruvian, and I would have preferred an ají for its authentic flavor. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
Delicious food, welcoming staff, and a cozy ambiance. We visited on a Friday evening, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the Lomo Saltado, which features well-seasoned grilled steak and vegetables—don't forget to order a side of plantains! Also, try the Papa a la Huancaina. The green salsa that accompanies the entrees is quite spicy but incredibly tasty!
The food was outstanding. I ordered the cabrito, and it was fantastic. However, the portion size of the meat was smaller than I anticipated, with more rice and beans on the plate than I expected. The dessert was incredibly delicious, and the service was excellent. The only downside was that it was a bit hard to hear due to the echo in the room. Our bill for two lunches and a dessert with tea came to around $40.
I was charged for a plate that was never served, which I found very frustrating. The food was just okay.
No good here. The chicken doesn't have that distinct flavor that sets Peruvian rotisserie chicken apart.
