Now operating under the name Newfoundland Tea Company, this restaurant may be located in a strip mall, but don’t let that deter you. One waitress expertly managed all the tables and displayed a great knowledge of the menu and drink options. My husband's cod was cooked to perfection, and my veggie pasta was delicious.
I was very excited to try out the new menu at the bistro that launched tonight, and, as always, I was extremely impressed! I had the coconut curried carrot soup and the ricotta and spinach ravioli, which also came with crispy prosciutto. I can definitely say that I will return before the next menu change to sample more dishes from tonight's offerings! Great job, everyone!
From the scallops and mushroom tart to the filet mignon, duck breast, and blueberry cheesecake, every dish exceeded our expectations. We plan to return to this stunning province next year, and Bistro On Roe will be the restaurant I absolutely must visit again. I’d also like to highlight an important aspect of dining out—service. I believe that the quality of service is just as crucial as the food, if not more so. I hope the owners of this establishment appreciate what incredible staff they have. Rachel Courtney didn’t just provide exceptional customer service; she truly cared. It was clear that she and her team were dedicated to giving us the best dining experience possible, and they succeeded beautifully! Thank you, Bistro On Roe, and thank you, Rachel Courtney, for making our honeymoon unforgettable with the best meal we've had. P.S. Rachel, I genuinely hope all your dreams come true on your wedding day. I know you'll be a stunning bride! Best wishes, Stacey Cory Bembridge Moncton, New Brunswick.
Without a doubt, this was the best meal we enjoyed during our two-week trip to Newfoundland. We started with a mushroom tart, followed by spinach fettuccine Alfredo with chicken for the main course, and finished with chocolate cake for dessert. The chicken was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. Everything was fantastic!
I was there last night with my picky ginger vegetarian wife to try the new menu. We had a wicked time! Food was amazing! Wine was flowing! Staff we very nice and professional af. I said to the wife “im not drinking so I can get an extra app” I started with the scallops. They were very tasty! Love the little bursts of sautéed onions and garlic sauce. She did the legendary mushroom tart! One of my favourite things on the menu as well. The crust was super! We then split a new spicy carrot fritter. Not super hot spicy, very manageable for anyone to enjoy and buddy, we enjoyed them!! Deanne said she liked them even more then the mushroom tart. Mains were just as I had expected. Anything that someone takes the time to poor all their heart and soul into gotta be good wha? I had the new pork/beef burger with home fries! I think they were russets because they were creamy af and this handsome fella LOVES his home fries like that! No one in town can offer anything near that. Great job! Homemade ketchup!!! Wtf!!! Who dose that around here! Outstanding! Deanne had the tried and true butternut ravioli. Pasta was perfect along with the sweet filling and holy **** the crunch from the nuts! Amazing... everybody should try homemade pasta! I can’t even have boxed anymore lol We were stuffed after all that. I had left two fries on the plate (must have been one too many fritters lol)
