Le Chat Noir - Gand

When I first visited Cafe Chat Noir, I felt relaxed and delicious. Coffee was really good. More knowledgeable, everything was good. sandwiches, paninis, pancakes, biscuits, cupcakes, drinks, and everything with smile. And now everything's amazing, I'm gonna miss these sweets for a while, have enjoyed a lot of experiences. Thanks.

Unique and original café-brasserie where locals meet

I came back to this place because I enjoyed the ambience and the friendliness of the staff. Nice coffee cakes. Tried the lavish afternoon coffee with a sweet platter. Good to share with a friend. I got a complimentary special pen from the cafe owner just because I fell in love with the cute kitten there ;

Zeer onvriendelijke mensen. Wc kost blijkbaar 5euro als je denkt dat je zat bent. These people try to steal your money whek they think you are DRUNK. 5euro for using toilet. Making your customers angry seems a new marketing strategy? Good job hope your business gets sacked. Real experience, DRUNK people behind bar, good job running business like that

Unfortunately it isn't the original, but then again the original was in Paris, and also closed down decades ago (back in the fin-de-siecle). However, like the one the Paris, and in fact a number of places around the world, this is trying to hang of the coat tales of the famous original. Like some of the other similar places this cafe/bar is dedicated to cats, so expect to see lots and lots of cat related decorations around the room. However, it still isn't one of the best bars that I have been to, and the reason that I went in here was simply because I was attracted to the name, but then again I have always been attracted to a name that involves cats, especially if the cats are centred around a bar. They even had an outdoor area, but one of the reasons I ended up staying inside was due to the rain.
