Captain Dooley's Restaurant - Gananoque

I had breakfast at this restaurant two days ago on July 23, 2016. My pancakes were disappointing, as they were not fluffy but instead thin, rubbery, and difficult to cut. The sausages I ordered were only lukewarm and lacked the crisp outer texture I was hoping for. My dining companion's omelet was more similar to a western dish rather than a traditional omelet, with the eggs not properly cooked and folded over the ingredients. Additionally, the menu stated that there was a charge of .75 for ingredient selection, but we were charged .75 for each individual ingredient without this being clearly indicated. The coffee served was also lukewarm. Although the waitress was friendly, overall the dining experience was disappointing.

The restaurant has a beautiful decor, but unfortunately that's the only positive aspect. The service is slow and the food is not noteworthy at all.

Went with someone who had eaten here regularly years ago and said the food was good. It is attached to the Ramada Provincial Inn and the food is still good The customer service was great as we were served even though the breakfast service ended at 11:00 am and it was 10:45 am. Our waitress provided exceptional customer service, the food was like home made and the cost was very reasonable. We will definitely will be back.

I have lived in Gananoque for over 10 years now, and my husband and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time today. The breakfast was delicious, and the servers were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open in the summer, but we may become regulars! Excellent experience!
