Taaffes - Galway
Taaffes
Description
Taaffes Bar is Galway’s favourite traditional Irish music bar, nestled in the heart of the city’s Latin Quarter. This bustling and friendly pub, with a rich history spanning 150 years, is a cherished spot for both locals and visitors. Its stone facade and lively atmosphere invite you in, where traditional Irish music has filled the air for over two decades. Known for its warm welcome, Taaffes offers a vibrant nightlife with no cover charge, allowing anyone to come along, listen, or even play if they fancy. The bar has hosted renowned musicians like Sharon Shannon and Sean Keane, as well as numerous wandering minstrels and local talents, making it a true hub for live traditional music. A proud GAA pub, Taaffes serves the finest pint of Guinness in Galway, guaranteed to satisfy. Alongside great drinks, you can enjoy delicious, generously portioned bar food all day long, all at keen prices. With both indoor and outdoor seating available for food and drinks, and a walk-in only policy, Taaffes Bar is the perfect place to soak up authentic Irish culture and get the party started with tunes from the Galway International Retro Orchestra (GIRO).

Great little pub. Drinks were great. Food was ok. not fan of their soup Prices were good. Stop in for a drink. You will enjoy.
Great craic, my favorite bar in Galway, all ages but younger side crowd for the 9:30 music session. Affordable beers as well, and woman friendly.
