However, I'm glad I stayed because the beef fillet and black forest dessert were truly unforgettable.

The carriages create a unique atmosphere and the food is top class, though the small appetizer offered wasn't to our taste! We found the service to be quite slow despite the restaurant not being overly busy but the staff were aware and had taken drinks off of our bill to thank us for our patience. We weren't too bothered as we were just enjoying the experience of the restaurant. Would definitely return to experience a new menu.

The... read more I really, really wanted to love this restaurant. We stayed at Glenlo Abbey and were excited to dine here. However, the food just wasn’t good for the price. The dishes didn’t wow us and a couple of them were not good (risotto and salmon appetizer). The service was chaotic and it took a long time to get anything. We did like the atmosphere and the inside of the train is beautiful but I would not return.

The food was delicious, and our waiter Daniel provided excellent service. The overall atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be returning and recommending it on TripAdvisor.
