When we went in, it was quiet because of the st... read more I was here on Saturday recently with my boyfriend. I had heard good reviews of the place, so I wanted to try it. When we went in, it was quiet because of the storm. I had pre booked a table, and the waitress was very helpful. She asked us what drinks we wanted, and when she came back, she told us what dinners weren't on the menu. That was ok, as we didn't want anything that was listed. So, we placed our orders of southern fried chicken burgers, and the waitress said ok. We were waiting for approx 15 minutes and the waitress came back saying the food we ordered wasn't available so we had to go for something else. We placed our new orders and when my food came. It was nice, however, my boyfriends food never came and it was nearly 15 minutes late. The waitress walked past and noticed he didn't receive his, and she went asking for it. It was another 15 minutes before he received his, and the waitress said there was a mix-up in the kitchen. When I asked my boyfriend how his food he said, it wasn't great, and they put too much gravy on the dish. The waitress had offered up a complimentary drink at this stage. We finished our meal and went to pay. The bar man behind the bar just gave my boyfriend his card back. We had thought he took payment, but the bar man came after us saying he forgot. The pub wasn't busy, so there was no need for this many issues. We wouldn't go back here again and wished we had looked at the reviews before hand.

They crafted amazing drinks and we enjoyed sharing stories about our respective countries. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone visiting Galway!

The service was extremely friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was amazing. I tried the burger and was blown away, and the bangers and mash lived up to all my expectations. If Monisha is working, you'll be in great hands.
