We love this place, amazing freshly prepared Japanese food, very high quality in a very authentic feeling restaurant. Our year old was happily eating sashimi loved his sushi and miso soup too. We tried different sakes and amazing plum wine, with the advice of the very knowledgeable owner. He is a master artist of food. Would highly recommend Kappa-ya for anyone who loves Japanese food. Very delicious food. The restaurant has a nice, calm atmosphere.
Coming here is always a highlight of my weekend. I find myself getting the Katsu-Don every time I visit, it's that good! The atmosphere is lovely, and you can tell each dish is cooked with love and care by the owner.
Such a nice place! We went for dinner there and it felt very authentic. The man running it is so lovely and the food was amazing! I will definitely be going back!
Authentic Japanese restaurant, felt like being in Japan! Will definitely come back if I'm ever in Galway again.
