Despite some negative reviews, the popular takeout spot in Galway offers a fantastic selection of family-friendly dishes, with delicious pizza and kebabs. The service is described as extremely friendly and efficient. However, recent complaints about overcooked and tasteless food, along with high prices and small portion sizes, have left some customers disappointed and deterred from returning. Overall, the consensus is mixed, with some praising the establishment as the best takeout option in Galway, while others warn against overpriced, subpar meals.

What Anonym dislikes about Giovannis:
I've become quite frustrated with the service recently! Giovannis used to be a fantastic spot for food, but during my last three visits, the same staff member taking orders has been unnecessarily rude. He behaves disrespectfully toward customers, laughing and sneering with his coworkers as if it’s some kind of joke. While the food is still good, this person's attitude really diminishes the overall experience. View all feedback.

The staff at Giovannis were very unprofessional and rude. I was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes, but after waiting 22 minutes, I asked about it and was told it would take another 2-3 minutes. When I reminded the server that my order was already late, they shouted at me and asked if I wanted a refund. I was shocked by their behavior. The food quality has also declined recently, but the service was by far the worst part. In the end, I left without receiving my meal.

I ordered two kebabs in pita bread and was shocked to be charged 18 euros. I expected generous portions, but they turned out much smaller than I anticipated. The place is overpriced, and the doner meat was burnt and tasteless. It seems like the only customers are intoxicated people. It’s a dump, and I’m glad it’s closed now—otherwise, I would have definitely called to complain.

I ordered a battered sausage and chips, but when I got home, the battered sausage was missing. My husband called to report the mistake, and when I went back to the restaurant, two staff members greeted me with smirks. When I mentioned the missing sausage, one of them threw it onto the counter and said, “last time.” When I asked what he meant, he responded, “you people.” I was very disappointed by their smirking and that remark. Their behavior made me feel disrespected and dismissed.
