Following our second round, a bartender came over... read more After our meal, our family of about 20 split into two groups and went downstairs to the bar for a few drinks. Following our second round, a bartender came over to our table—where the older relatives were quietly sharing stories and laughing—and asked us to lower our volume, implying that our behavior was inappropriate for the bar. This was surprising, especially since it was around 5 PM and the bar was nearly empty except for us. We weren’t being loud at all, and found the request both upsetting and unwarranted. Consequently, we decided to leave. Just two nights earlier, we had visited the bar without any issues while enjoying drinks and food. Over those two days, we spent nearly €4,000 at the hotel, making this treatment all the more disappointing. Some of our family had even stayed at the hotel the previous night. We felt unfairly singled out, particularly considering how much noise is usually tolerated during Race Week or the recent music concert, which caused significant disruptions. Many family members left feeling offended by how we were treated after our meal. Additionally, the drink prices were extremely high—on par with those in Temple Bar—yet we paid our bills promptly and in full. Unfortunately, this experience has made us reconsider any future visits to your establishment. As you know, negative experiences travel fast.
