Service was so friendly. Good was good and I didn't have high expectations. I struggle finding food spicy enough for me and the Diablo chicken was tasty and my mouth was on fire in a good way. My husband loved his carne asada plate as well. Husbands margaritas were great and service was quick. We got to town late and they were very accommodating! Cool garage doors and vibe. What Mary Lestina (Lovetokayak) doesn't like about Ayalas:
Came to Galena for the first time with friends. We stopped in for drinks and a light appetizer. Restaurant had not been cleaned for a while. Every corner had storage of some sort. Service was slow. Chips were horrible. Our drinks were like colored snow cones with no flavor or alcohol. We tipped the server well since she was doing her best. We are not returning customers. My only 2 complaints are the chips weren't the fresh thin kind I love eating at Mexican food and chicken was a smidgen dry, but a solid good meal.
HORRIBLE STAY AWAY! took them 30 minutes to bring us OUR FOOD when we were the only costumers there. overpriced and they don’t even let you know it’s CASH ONLY
Another stop on our latest adventure in Galena, my wife and I stopped by this place while getting drinks around town. The bartenders were super nice and let us borrow a lighter. Then they showed us their free darts and billiards and we had a few beers. The building has a front and back garage door style doors that allow for an amazing breeze that is not common. Nice place with very nice staff.
Beware: if you use a credit card they charge you twice for a credit card fee on the same bill. You have to ask to see the itemized receipt before paying, otherwise they scam you. When we were there i saw the same waitress do this 3 times back to back, get called out by each person, then proceed to do it again to the next person... so you know it 's not happening on accident.
Stopped in for some food but we didnt make it past the chips and salsa. Poor service was the main reason why we decided to not stay for a meal. it was pretty empty in there as well so we were confused as to why it was so off. Drinks were average and guacamole was pretty good.
