Jiù Jiù Xīn Diàn - Gaithersburg

After hearing some rave reviews, we decided to check out this restaurant. The location is fantastic, situated outside in the Kentlands plaza. The outdoor seating was perfect for a beautiful day. I would give it 5 stars for the location and atmosphere alone. As for the food (taco salad with ground "bark" and a chicken burrito), it was just okay (3 stars), which was disappointing considering the great setting. One highlight was the friendly customer service. The staff was attentive and checked on us multiple times to ensure we were enjoying our experience. However, the food was lacking. The salad was too heavy on the greens and lacked enough cheese, ground "bark", and other flavors to make it really stand out. Despite this, I believe the prices were reasonable and I would give it another try because of the excellent service and location. It's clear that this is a family-owned business that truly cares about providing a great customer experience. I will definitely be returning.
