Burtons Grill - Gaithersburg

Came here for lunch this past Sunday—my first time here! My friend and I sat in the bar area in a 2-top booth. Our server/bartender was friendly and attentive, and food came out fairly quick.For starters, the Firecracker Shrimp was pretty good. For entree, got the Crab Crusted Haddock—it was a huge portion, with lots of crab cake meat on top of the fish, pretty good—but overall I felt this dish lacked sauce, and was a bit dry that I had to ask for more lemon butter sauce. Even my garlic mashed potato was super dry and seemed over cooked. The Pappardelle Bolognese was okay—huge portion as well, with garlic bread too! And the Parmesan Fries were delicious!My cocktails were made good—and there’s a full bar.

Food was decent for the price. Service was excellent. We had some appetizers. The General Tsos cauliflower was great. Chicken cordon Bleu and salmon risotto were enjoyed as mains. My Max burger with cheddar cheese substituted for American cheese was cooked perfectly to the request. The fries were seasoned well and fried just right. The short rib was ok. Nothing special. I am giving the restaurant three stars because we were sat at a makeshift table that used furniture pulled from the patio. It was also by the door to the patio on a freezing cold night. The staff were nice enough to switch one of the tables when I asked. I didn 't even consider why the table was so unstable until after dinner. I 'm an amputee and sometimes use the table for balance to stand while wearing my prosthetic. One time when my wife and I were out I used a similar table to assist and it flipped over. I warned the hostess and asked if we could be moved. The rest of our party had yet to arrive. They were a few minutes late. There were 6 person and larger tables empty. I was told that the other tables were already reserved. I get that. So was ours. A party of 4 is smaller. I get it. Fit more customers. But seriously. That was not cool. We should have been offered a discount on our check. Yes we tipped 20% anyway. Ok maybe it was 19.98 or something crazy to round out the change. Please understand that our four two person tables were the only ones from the patio used in the entire restaurant. I have no documentation other than the fact that I was with three other people and two employees of the restaurant interacted with us. It was days ago. I 've been busy but I haven 't forgotten to mention this to the management. Please don 't arrange your dining room with outdoor furniture to fit extra guests.

Great Experience, it was my first time to the Gaithersburg location and it did not disappoint. Staff were willing to recommend their favorites, never leaving you wanting for anything and left you with a full belly. Will definitely be visiting again. ?

The veggie burger was very healthy, but bland. The salad was delicious and tasted very fresh.

Burtons is a good spot for the area. Mackenzie and Jordan are great. Will be back on Thursdays for Pats drinks!
