This restaurant combines the simpleness of classy with a casual atmosphere. they enjoy first-class meals served by 3 generations of the well-known. it is classic Portuguese cuisine to its best. what to order? get a group of 8 and call them a paella. pick up a group of 6 and call them a corvina head grilled or damped. ossos is also a good start for those who can rob some bone meat.
A place where they can find excellent food, with a very personalized treatment. verify daily good grill meat and fresh fish. make them a reservation or they can wait for a long wait!
We’d driven from the algarve, looked for a place for food, local seaside places booked. Find a review for a curious place in the middle of nowhere. We drive down a dirt path, past derelict warehouse and abandoned cars. Turn into a small 20car car park and in the corner of a field the only rugby pitch south of Lisbon for over 200km. your met with what can only be subscribed as a provincial rugby club clubhouse. It was absolutely heaving with Portuguese families and friends. We sat on stools at a simple wooden table, greeted with a huge smile, some wonderful bread, goats cheese and olives. A carafe of wine and glass of sagres. We never saw a menu, our Portuguese was poor their English was super and we muddled thru. We went with Octopus/ skate although may have been turbot) chicken rapped in bacon, fries, roast new potatoes. All in lashings of garlic, olive oil, coriander plenty of salt. After surrendering to the fact what was possibly accordia de alentejana, was a step too far, we asked for the very reasonable bill considering we’d never seen the price of any of the food) with the bill came another local delicacy a Molotof!!! Outstanding just the most wonderful service, food to wonder at. If your more than 4 you must book to get a seat. Go with an open mind and an empty belly and enjoy.

A pearl on a shell. First you don 't give any value since the outdoors are something taken from a war zone. Parking is in a rugby field or on a tarmac road. Reservation is mandatory otherwise the possibility to go home without eating is great. You seat on long wood benches and privacy is scarce. To the good parts. Food is to die for, we were a party of 8, 2 children, and almost all had different meat pork or fish choco cuttlefish or petinga small sardine . All made au point and super delicious. The deserts were excellent as well as the housemade butter. All for less that 100€ for 8 is a tremendous value. If you want to taste Portuguese cuisine, this a must.
