Whataburger often delights burger lovers with fresh ingredients and friendly service; however, experiences can vary widely from location to location. Many patrons praise the consistency and welcoming atmosphere of the brand, with commendable staff making visits enjoyable. Yet, some diners recount distressing delays and inattentive service, leading to frustration over lengthy waits and incorrect orders. This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. When we arrived, there was no one in line, yet we stood there for 4 to 5 minutes without anyone greeting us. Even the manager, who brought food out from the back twice, ignored us as she walked by. I eventually went to the edge of the kitchen and asked if anyone was taking orders, which finally prompted the manager to shout for someone to assist us. Shockingly, five customers who came in after us were served before we were. This led me to go back up front to inquire about our order. When I asked, the staff member turned, fetched our meal — which had been sitting in a bag on the bottom shelf of the kitchen — and handed it to me, despite the label saying "dine in." At that point, the food was barely warm. Needless to say, we requested a refund and left the cold food behind, as we didn’t believe that level of service was acceptable. The manager showed no concern for the poor service we experienced. If you’re looking for decent service, I would advise you to avoid this location. Zero stars.
Whataburger usually gets it right, and they did this time too, except for one incorrect mustard and no napkins. It was a busy evening at 6 PM as I was headed to a football game, so it was definitely a grab-and-go situation! The staff did an excellent job managing the crowd. Would I go again? Absolutely! But I’ll definitely check the mustard before leaving the parking lot next time! God bless us all!
My son loves Whataburger, so we decided to stop by one evening. We went inside to place our order, but it took an astonishing 45 minutes to receive a burger meal and a kids' chicken meal. I noticed that our order ticket had disappeared from the screen in the back, which likely contributed to the delay. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all; there were only two tables occupied and three people waiting for to-go orders, while there were just around six cars in the drive-thru. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
Traveling from Wisconsin, I had to stop at Whataburger, of course. The service was excellent! The food tasted amazing. Some in my group ordered hamburgers and said they were delicious. I tried the spicy chicken sandwich, and it was outstanding! I get this sandwich wherever I go, and this is by far my favorite.
