I wrote the text below three years ago. The restaurant was recently sold, and the quality is not so good as it was before. I don't recommend it. Excellent Italian in Geneva. Owned by a family from Ischia, it has excellent pizza and several other dishes. Insalata di mare will probably be a delight if you're a seafood lover. View all feedback.
What sony j doesn't like about La Gondola:
Long wait to order and receive the food: 40 minutes!! Servers completely overwhelmed by the workload. They have plenty of tables to serve in addition to takeout orders, which go before seated customers. In the end we received a dish which was not the one ordered. For the pizza, we went back to get it because we saw that it was cooling while waiting to be served. The lady, who didn't speak much French, didn't even apo... View all feedback.
With very good sized portions and excellent pizza's. If you are staying in Gaillard you will not do much better
This was the local restaurant selected by knowledgeable friends who live in the district. We ate Italian food and it was both very good and reasonably priced. TIP : if you're going for dinner, either make a reservation or get there early, like 7.30 pm
Very pleasant moment of relaxation, smiling, attentive staff, generous and well presented dishes. It almost feels like we’re in Italy!
