However, I found the waitress at the Billow bar to be rather curt and not very warm when explaining the menu choices. On a brighter note, the cook upstairs was very friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. Just a warning—the baked beans were quite spicy!

We've had great meals ther... read more We were really looking forward to visiting Billow Bar after hearing that Agricola Street Brasserie was adding barbecue to their menu. We've had great meals there before! However, when we showed up this evening, the hostess told us they had decided to close because of the cold weather. It was unusually warm for May in Nova Scotia—I've even encountered colder weather in the middle of summer. There was no announcement on Facebook or any sign on the chalkboard outside. Since they don’t have a website, we couldn’t verify beforehand. It was a huge disappointment.
