Was Anonym at Bean & Grain a mag?
Staying at the caravan park in Fyshwick for a few days we thought we'd venture to the market to get some breakfast on Saturday before Easter Sunday ... partner and I both loved our bruschetta, breaky roll, coffee and fresh orange juice and despite being crazy busy the service was super friendly and fast. After sightseeing for the day we dropped back to the market in the afternoon to grab a few bits for dinner and a c... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Bean & Grain:
Real disappointing.Ordered, waited 40 minutes (despite the place being next to empty) for two meals. The corn fritters were gross - cold, soggy flour-cakes with sweet, packet-made relish and browned avocado on top. Cold sour cream had been poured liberally on top, so it just looked a total mess. Would love to review the burger, but it never arrived.Staff *really* need training. On request for a refund, there was no a... View all feedback.

So a wonderful selection of fresh homemade broths. we stood for a long time, just try to decide which delicious bread to buy. the staff was very helpful and happy. we enjoyed our purchase very much. we will definitely come back! Thank you!

To start, the interior was extremely cold, which was surprising on a winter day in Canberra. Everyone, including the staff, was wearing their coats. When we inquired about the heating, we were told that it was usually a bit warmer. The menu did not offer all of the items that were raved about online. We decided to try the corn fritters, but were not impressed as they were flat and rubbery. The avocado and tomato salsa was also served fridge cold. The only redeeming aspect was the hot chocolate, which provided some much-needed warmth.

Ordered eggs on toast and an iced coffee. Poached eggs were ok but too much vinegar was used to make them. Got served an iced chocolate and when I said it was supposed to be a coffee the guy just put the coffee shots in...the chocolate! Um I asked for iced coffee not iced Mocha!! For the price I was not impressed at all!! Should have walked into the little cafe next door that was busy!! That was obviously a sign that I ignored.

Fritters were delicious. Bacons and eggs cooked perfectly and the sourdough is so good we bought some to take home. The custard filled donuts are great and the croissants and muffins also look amazing

We had two eggs Benedict one with ham and the other with salmon. The bread was old, hollandaise sauce was disgusting, all you could taste was vinegar and butter. One small slice of ham and a tiny piece of salmon was on it. In one...word atrocious . We also had a donat which was also old and extremely dry (we spent $37). Not to mention that there was no heating and was literally freezing. All customers were wearing jackets, hats and complimentary blankets. It was like eating outside on a very cold winter day. Do not go there, big waste of money!!
