We booked a 3 night stay for a break , to look at the area as we have not been to the area for many years.It started very well ,room was clean , it has been upd... read more We booked a 3 night stay for a break , to look at the area as we have not been to the area for many years.It started very well ,room was clean , it has been updated in recent years .Drinks and general food are resonable , and bar /lounge have a nice atmosphere. On the evenings we ate out at the Red Fort in Lytham and St Annes fish restaurant great gluten free options , both were excellant. Lytham has many eateriers , but a bit expensive ie Lytham kitchen for breakfast ,thats because of my wife's gluten free needs . The Countys breakfast fine and resonsonable but very poor on gluten free awareness,hence our Lytham kitchen visit ie no bread , and you cant have this , but poor options .Parking is also a negative ,only 3 bays ,1 of these disabled , another 4 blocked off by flower boxes ! This resulted in getting a 25 pound fine for parking across the road for over 24 hours . The 3 bays of the hotel never became available !The beds are on the firm side ,but no draws for clothes and only 1 chair for dressing table. Blackpool is a dump sorry Blackpool but wife enjoyed the tower ballroom and lights !!

Would highly recommend... read more We love visiting Lytham and today we popped in here for our lunch. Food was delicious and tasty. Fillet steak panni was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend to anyone local or visiting the area. The county has a lovely cosy decor and staff were helpful and friendly. On top of our list to visit again soon.
