Lytham Hall is very close to the train station although it's a fairly long walk from the gates up to the house. The building is beautiful and tours are available although we didn't do one on this visit. We did however visit the cafe which was very cosy and welcoming. There are many choices for tea and cakes and also a good selection of lunchtime dishes. Everything looked fab although we just had a cake and tea. Staff... View all feedback.
What John Alhelm doesn't like about Lytham Hall:
Was disappointed that tables are not cleaned and staff do not carry out this task every time a table is cleared. Both our table and the one next to it contained crumbs but no effort to clean them. Food very dated and probably suits an elderly demographic. Had hot beef and onion which was served on a white barm cake. Had many better elsewhere and very basic. Not asked if any sauces could be provided and very 1990’s. W... View all feedback.
We had an excellent afternoon tea at Lytham Hall. After a tour of the hall where Denise shared many interesting facts about the Clifton family, we enjoyed a fantastic experience with Simon as our perfect host and Angela attending to us diligently. The food was fabulous, the surroundings were elegant, and the overall experience was excellent. Thank you for a truly exceptional experience.
I can't give this place a high rating as a restaurant, it's more like a cafe. The food is mediocre and the staff seem unhappy. It's disappointing that the cafe isn't better, as it wouldn't survive in the center of Lytham.
Wow! What a brilliant meal we had today. Two of us had vegan chcken burger, I had vegan cottage pie. The food was awesome, soooooo good! Really fantastic value, everything about it was superb. And they had jack rabbit vegan wine which was the icing on the cake! All this in such a beautiful setting.... lovely. And a huge shout out to the team looking after us today. Exceptional customer service, we simply could not have been better catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. And so friendly and welcoming too. Thank you Linda, Clare, Mia, Abbey Adam you have this 'customer care ' thing absolutely nailed. Highly recommended

Not asked if any sauces could be provided and very 1990’s. Would have been better if slightly toasted and some gravy added with better quality bread used. All in all very average and not a venue I would return to as not very hygienic and this is a minimum standard that I look for.
12.11.23 Interesting old hall plus lovely grounds but the cafe is disappointing.Today it was like Crufts with some dogs barking, sitting on the chairs, sniffing around ,some not on leads. One couple nearby had three large damp, smelly dogs.,heads on the table. Not ideal if you are having a meal, plus there are hygiene issues. I accept that if you love dogs/have a dog it might suit. Its not for us . Note that we were in the cafe ,not the main hall (not sure of the dogs policy in there).
