As others say, this is a family-run hotel that specializes in the middle of winter in the gastronomy for the older end of the population, of which my wife and I are members. there are many waiting staff, a pleasant lady pianist and a chandelier dining room. with large framed photos of the very pretty faces of young ladies who might have been Vogue models. it offers everything a pleasant, if raised atmosphere. three courses cost the food we had, seemed freshly prepared and of good quality. the snout is that the portions are, ahem, very small, with the exception of the large bowls of carrots, brokkoli and green beans that they serve every customer. in the opposite was used to me with the only halved bratkartoffel with two small slices bratbeef and a mere destroying the heavy. the three small elements somewhere near the amount of cooked vegetables we may have left, but they are not and we are not, that was a shame for us.

We made a booking for Sunday afternoon and chose from the set menu. We arrived early enough to enjoy a drink at the bar before being seated at a table in the restaurant. We each selected lunch options. The food was well-prepared and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant dining experience and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.

From the moment you walk into this hotel, you feel special. We have visited The Bedford twice for a Twixmas break and everything, from the food to the service, is to our liking. The breakfast is extensive and caters to all tastes, offering everything from fruit muesli to fresh fish. The evening meal is of five-star quality, beautifully presented and served by friendly and well-trained staff. The rooms are elegantly decorated and spotless.

I had booked a table of for afternoon tea, it was an important event as the guests were from overseas and never visited the area. Sonya, the manager, was extremely helpful from helping with the booking to arranging a splendid table setting for the...tea. The afternoon tea was exquisite and throughly recommended, several guests opted for scones and, again, gave high praise.
