Having read various opinions, some of which were mixed, I wanted to make my own opinion. I wasn't disappointed. we were well received, pleasant room, discrete and efficient service. we took the pleasure menu at 28 €. value for money, the mackerel really excellent. a little waiting between the entrance and the dish. The map of the wines with glass is very varied with appellations that are rarely found "at the glass" (condrieu, Rotie Coast). The chief greeted us when we left. a good time and a good table that deserves its place in the white toques of the limousin.
We decided to stop in this restaurant at the time of tea, thinking why not ask if it was possible to order a dessert, since the map was more than Alléchante. What a disappointment...we entered the hall (joliment decorated) to access the terrace but we were never told hello. We had the right to stay planted there, with the bosses yet)(? In front of us who has royally ignored us.This said, it has allowed us to take advantage of its odious comments: - by devising customers from its place of watch: "To them, we have to serve them a coffee powder, they don't have the means for the other"-to a visibly more interesting customer: "Good morning doctor". We decided to go back, we didn't have to see you again.
We were eating in this restaurant and we were very disappointed! Of course the decoration was pretty. but the dishes were missing quantities especially when they were taken on the map. I don't think it's normal to have exactly the same quantities between a card input and a menu entry. the dish: langoustine cassolette was really ridiculous compared to its price (28€)... it's not a dish for me, it was rather an entrance seen the quantity, no vegetables accompanied this dish. the dish taken from the menu at 37€ was also ridiculous, the beef piece was well cooked, but a little more vegetables would have been great! Moreover, the wait was endless between the dishes, we had to wait 40min to finally have our dessert. This one was not of excellent quality and was missing once again!! servers who did not take the order themselves did not know who was going to the dishes. And finally, men were served before women! Where are the rules of galantry, for a restaurant of this fame!?the ratio quantity / price is not at all satisfactory!
A very pleasant stay at this village hotel, run by the Nougier family for three generations. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the chef, followed by his restaurant manager, whose professionalism we must commend. The explanations were clear, and the advice precise and insightful, particularly regarding the wine selection. To start the evening off right, we enjoyed a cocktail in the garden accompanied by homemade appetizers. The hotel also boasts a heated outdoor pool, which is a real bonus. For dinner, we opted for the five-course market menu and discovered the excellent gastronomic cuisine of Chef Stéphane Nougier. The dishes showcase seasonal products from local producers, all of exceptional quality (organic vegetables, foie gras, langoustines, morels, free-range poultry, asparagus, strawberries, chestnuts, farm eggs, and cheeses). The chef demonstrates remarkable creativity in his dishes and a perfect mastery of cooking techniques. We also appreciated the wines offered by the half-bottle, providing excellent value for money, such as the 2016 Saint-Émilion red. Another very welcome touch was the coffee menu offered at the end of the meal. As frequent guests of quality establishments and lovers of fine dining, we believe the chef deserves a Michelin Bib Gourmand, as his refined, generous, and perfectly executed cuisine is offered at an accessible price. The superior room is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly equipped, with a large walk-in shower and high-quality bedding. A truly wonderful place to which we will be delighted to return, as much for the quality of the cuisine as for the attentive service and peaceful setting. The Toulouse Twins
