4 adult 4 delicious meal times (pork, scabbard hausburger) served with various sides (sweet kartoffelfries, black bohnen, mais etc). the best meal until our 10-day trip. do not leave them out of the main rd, it is irrelevant! also here eat locals, which is a good sign as usual.
What User doesn't like about Why Not:
Total food disappointing. Brie-Starter was just a plate of Brie covered with nuts and we think a bit of honey and a bit of toast My chicken salad was just a mixture of different salads and carrots. Melted cheese. No taste of anchovy or bacon. Definitely not the salad I expected. The tempura scabbard of my wife was more like deep fried scabbard. Thick dough. Although reception chap was very nice, a bit of fun and character our reservation does not seem to have been acknowledged. But I can reassure you we were there tonight at 19:30. Service was friendly attentive and polite. Food was of a good quality and tasty. Probably if truly honest we were expecting a more expensive meal than it turned out to be. Listen if you don’t want fine dining but want a good dinner at a more than reasonable price then here you go. Could not fault the whole experience. Would we revisit
We asked for a quiet table and the most appropriate had been reserved for us. Service was efficient and friendly. The tuna risotto was delicious and an interesting combination. The chicken linguine was a little dry. Despite annual long stays in Funchal this was our first visit here and will not be our last!
A very warm welcome by the gentlemen at the entrance. Staff very attentive, food hot , generous portions . Definitely recommend
