this is a very cozy, authentic place to very tasty poncha (maracuja tangerine is the speciality) and is definitiw the way up. especially in comparison to other places is the amount of poncha nelson prepared for the evening (freshly natural) and they can even buy bottles to take away! we enjoyed this place very much. What User doesn't like about Venda Do Nelson:
I would stay away. Something in that brew is most likely toxic. Maybe was just unlucky to get a bad brew but 2 of us felt ill within 30min of trying a cup of his brew and spent the night vomiting and the whole next day recovering feeling extremely ill. The 3rd person in our group did not try it and was lucky enough not to suffer the consequences. We only had 1 cup each and did not finish it either. View all feedback.

Poncha muito boa! do not judge a book of its cover and especially not this place, its owner and its guests otherwise they will do a service themselves and miss one of the best poncha out and a funny night with the native! go with the bottle option for only 10€/bottles and handful free drips, promise they need four flares for a group as 2 They simply enter and enter them with open understanding and respect and they will be in order and welcome them with them! the owner makes everything from himself, it seems and shows a real care for his guests who were very hearty.

The best poncha out there. do not let them look at the place, the people are really nice and overall it is great.
Best poncha drink in Madeira. Not very easy spot to find, far from Funchal. Only by car.
