Rubi's - Funchal

This restaurant gives you the best Madeiran experience of the cooked food that is available. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere has a welcoming family feel to it. The portions sizes are good the quality is second to none. I ended up going 3 times in one weeks stay in Madeira as there was nothing else that got close to how great Rubi's is. Highly recommend by my taxi driver apparently rated good on Trip advisor.

Pleasant experience. Food was great, and to very affordable prices. Seems like a little spot with lots of local activity. We will definitely return here and try out more dishes.

Really nice and affordable local place. I had picano, bolo de caco with garlic butter, tomato and onion soup and a small glass of Madeira for 20€. It was a ton of food and it all tasted really good plus the staff were very friendly.

Excellent local dish Picado It has only increased €1 since last year Beautifully cooked. Thankyou. 2024 still beautiful food but now closed on Monday as well as Sunday.

Wonderful food, wonderful good humoured helpful staff, thoroughly enjoyed our visit to a fantastic restaurant. My colleague wants to kidnap the chef owners wife) and take her back to UK. The attached photo is what is left of sirloin steak in mushroom sauce with potatoes and fresh veg. sorry but couldn't stop eating the delicious food to photograph it.
