The next night we saw this... read more We were staying in a nearby hotel and ate at the hotel restaurant. The atmosphere was sombre and lifeless and the food was expensive. The next night we saw this place was open so we decided to eat there instead. We hiked up the hill and were given a table straight away out the back in the restaurant area. The staff were polite and understood English. Soon enough more foreigners (Like us turned up) The food was plentiful and tasty and half the price of the hotel's. The atmosphere was also much more lively than the hotel restaurant. We went back the following evening.

It is the second tme after a year we are back here. the same careful and authentic service from the chef and his colleague and not only for us, but for all! eat... read more It is the second tme after a year we are back here. the same careful and authentic service from the chef and his colleague and not only for us, but for all! eating is easy with very good ingredients and even cheap for portugal. Note that the portions are then normally larger. we love our “constructor” bar because of the different types of people and the Portuguese feeling, we have in tjis square.
