José prepared us five delicious meals, d... read more After a week back in England we still have great memories of the meals we had at Karisma during our holiday in Madeira. José prepared us five delicious meals, difficult to pick our favourite. This was the third holiday when we had eaten at Karisma and we are now recognised by the proprietors, Paulo and all the staff. As we said in our earlier review, don't just walk by. The food and service are excellent and everybody does their utmost to please. Looking forward to our next visit.

On face value it looks like a cafe BUT with its indoor and outdoor seating area this place will be very popular being next to a massive hotel that is being built. The food was excellent and the staff jolly and eager to please. The smoked salmon salad was wonderful. Approx 20 Euros for two mains and two beers.

You have done the climb by the Governor's Residence and after this it is flatter. We stopped to have a frozen coffee on a hot day. Carefully made, and NOT all ice cubes it was just what we needed. Thank you.

Food good and always freshly made and served hot. Waiting staff very attentive and helpful. Reasonably priced with a good menu selection.
