We found this bar on the first day of our holiday and it was the first poncha we tried. We had more during our holiday but this was the best by far! Freshly made when you ordered and a perfect drink on a hot sunny day. Only a tiny little place on Rua Santa Maria with a couple of tables inside and a couple outside which we sat at a few times. Lovely bloke that made the drinks and very trusting; it's a cash only place... View all feedback.
If you love Poncha you have to visit this place!! They don't hold back on the rum. No ice just straight enjoyment in a glass
Found this bar too late into our holiday, but this did confirm that the owner makes a brilliant Poncha, way above others I had tasted, well worth a visit
You can eat as a local as its suppose to be in holidays. Amaizing food, amaizing owners, tips to several places. Everything in the picutre 2 coffes, just 13€.
It was a shame we just found this place on our last day in Funchal. It has the best lapas, beef sandwich (that you can order in local bread bolo do caco , the best fish sandwich and poncha in town. Tha family running the business is very friendly.
